FAQ

How do I RSVP?
Please click the tab/link above labeled "RSVP." Enter your full name and you should be able to respond for all members of your party. Let us know if you have any issues.
By when do I need to RSVP?
Labor Day weekend; August 30-September 1
What will the weather be like?
For early October in Pittsburgh, it could be either crisp or warm during the day, and likely chilly at night. We suggest bringing a jacket, shawl, sweater etc. to stay warm. Rain is a possibility; check the forecast before you pack to travel here if you are not a local.
Where should I stay?
You are welcome to stay wherever you like; here are some zip code options for your searches: - 15086 is very accessible to 76 (the Turnpike), 79, and Rt 19 and is ~30 min from the reception venue - 15009 is near the reception venue and accessible from 376, 65, and 51 - 15108 is near the airport and roughly equidistant to both the church and the reception, accessible to 376 and 79
How should I get around on the wedding day? Is there parking?
We recommend driving to the church, then returning to your home base (or exploring local sites) before the reception cocktail hour begins at 6pm. There is parking available in both locations.

Are you changing your names?

Nope, all current and future correspondence should be directed to Anna Stienstra and/or Andrew Heyl, respectively.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony service is scheduled to begin at 3PM. We recommend arriving slightly early, around 2:45PM, to find your seats.

What can I expect from the Orthodox service/ceremony?

The bottom of the Event Details page has more info.
What should I wear? Do you have a dress code?
Dress code is cocktail / semi formal. Portions of the ceremony/service ask that attendees stand (however there will be pews), and there will be dancing during the reception, so make sure you will be comfortable. The dance floor is in a covered and heated outdoor area.

Food and drink

Hors d'oeuvres will be served during the cocktail hour which starts at 6pm, and a buffet for dinner around 7pm. Vegetarian and meat dishes will be included in the dinner buffet. If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please note that where specified in the RSVP form. The bar will be an open bar (but please bring a tip for the bartender).

Cookie table?

Yes, we're having a cookie table! Family and friends who want to participate should plan to supply ~2 dozen homemade cookies. The RSVP form is also the signup; the cookie table coordinator will reach out to you from there.
Are my kids invited?
We are only hosting the guests named on your invitation and the RSVP page.
